Stellar's current board of directors consists of five members. The board is comprised of three current DBSI Group principals, one retired principal of the DBSI Group, and one additional member with technology and startup experience. Additional advisors serve the board in consultative capacities.


Douglas L. Swenson is Chairman of the Board, a founding principal and current President & CEO of the DBSI Group. Mr. Swenson oversees the operation of the entire group of companies. Prior to founding the DBSI group of companies in 1979, he practiced for three and one-half years as a Certified Public Accountant with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche), and was with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co. in Houston, Texas, beginning in 1972. He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds his real estate license, and is a direct-placement securities principal registered in various states. He is also a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Mr. Swenson holds a Masters of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University.


Walter E. Mott is currently a Limited Partner with the DBSI Group, and is the immediate past EVP & COO. Mr. Mott was previously responsible for the management of more than one billion dollars in assets for DBSI. Now winding down his career with DBSI, Walt focuses his efforts with Stellar as a business and strategic advisor. He serves on several company Boards. Prior to becoming Principal with DBSI in 1991, Mr. Mott was with Boise Cascade Corporation for 14 years, serving as Manager of Timberland Resources Planning and was responsible for the financial and biological analysis of nearly $400 million in Boise Cascade assets. He holds an A.A.S. degree from County College of Morris in Computer Science, a B.A from the University of Idaho in Forest Management, a B.A from Boise State University in Accounting, and an M.A. from the University of Idaho in Finance and Price theory.


Charles E. Hassard is a principal, Accounting Director & CFO for the DBSI Group. Mr. Hassard oversees day-to-day financing, accounting, and tax reporting for all DBSI entities and projects. Prior to joining DBSI in 1984, he practiced for seven years as a Certified Public Accountant with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche) in San Francisco, California and Boise, Idaho with extensive experience in investment and tax analysis. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Masters of Accountancy degree in Taxation from Brigham Young University.


Var Reeve is founder and CEO of Kastera Homes, LLC, a leading Idaho based home builder and developer. Prior to founding Kastera Homes, LLC, Mr. Reeve was the President and CEO of FOR1031, LLC, a company specializing in institutional quality exchange properties for use in 1031 TIC real estate transactions. In his role with Stellar, he advises with ongoing development and assists in generating new opportunities for advancement and application of current products. Mr. Reeve has successfully lead five startup companies to profitability, and he has completed one turn-around, growing the company from $16M to $50M in revenues in 18 months. Mr. Reeve brings expertise in leadership, taking products to market, product development and innovation, and strategic planning. Mr. Reeve holds a Bachelors Degree and Masters of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.


Gary Bringhurst is President and CEO of FOR 1031, LLC. Mr. Bringhurst helped establish this company in August 2003, and served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer until his appointment as President in April 2005. Mr. Bringhurst brings extensive financial management, lending, and operations experience to the Stellar team. After graduating from BYU with a Masters in Accounting, Mr. Bringhurst has been the CFO of the following related real estate companies: Greenwood and Company, EBEL Trust, and Greenwood Realty. Mr. Bringhurst has also been a consultant for a private REIT called Net Trust. For five years, Mr. Bringhurst was the CFO of Casco Group, a computerized filtration company which had domestic and international offices. Additionally, Mr. Bringhurst was the CFO of Western Electronics for five years.


John R. Wasden is Vice President of Government Relations for Wavetronix LLC, the world leader in patented Digital Wave Radar traffic sensors and one of the Stellar portfolio companies. He also was a Managing Member of Stellar Technologies LLC from 2000 to 2003. Prior to joining Stellar Technologies, he was the founder, president and CEO of Western Electronics LLC, starting the company with $7K and building revenues to $20M, with four divisions in four states over time. He holds a Bachelor of Arts & Economics from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Management from University of Utah.
